Notices For Parents

The Autumn Term begins on 7 September. We hope you have all had a good Summer.

In this year leading up to school entry we will be providing some more structured learning opportunities for these 3 and 4 year olds. They will have sessions in our pre-school room with our senior teacher Gill. She will be working with small groups to build on their understanding of numeracy, literacy and knowledge of the world. Please speak to her or your child's key worker for more information.

We are delighted to welcome several new children aged from 2 to 4 years. The younger ones will benefit from a staff/child ratio of 1 to 4. We invite parents and carers to stay as long as they wish in the early days. Our Manager Tracy has special resposibility for this group and will monitor their progress with key workers once they are in place. We build a portfolio of progress for each child which you are welcome to see at any time.

This term our topic is Dinosaurs. We invite children to bring in favourite books to share. Older children will be encouraged to create their own stories and pictures, in groups or individually. Our music sessions will follow this theme leading up to our Easter performance. There should be some great dressing up opportunities!

Term ends on 17 December.
