May we welcome you to our site, which will hopefully answer some of the questions you may have. This site is intended to inform those who wish to visit us and those wishing to use our facilities and services; as well as to keep our community up-to-date with events.

New: We've recently started up a group for our Facebook-ing congregation through which events and other community things can also be published.

St Matthias Christingle Children’s Choir

We are forming a Children’s Choir this years to sing at the Christingle Service. All primary school children are welcome for three days carol singing and fun. Suggested donation £5 for refreshments and games. (see Attach:Flyer)

Rehearsals are on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December 3pm – 5pm and on Christmas Eve 3pm -6pm.

This site is an experiment in community authoring. So rather than having one person through which the site is written, members of the different groups have the ability to work together to share in the authorship and ownership of the site. Should anyone wish to join this project please get in touch with my husband, Brian.

150 years old

This year St Matthias celebrates its sequicentennial. We will celebrate this throughout the year, but particularly on our Patronal Festival (Sunday 18th May, 4pm).
